I had to be at the hospital for a bit yesterday morning, but for the most part it's been a relaxing weekend with Stephen. It's pretty wonderful to be home from my rural rotation and sleeping in my own bed instead of at the hospital house. Looking forward to a relaxing afternoon of pilates and a little studying today...and a week of no hospital call!
Time for another What I Wore Sunday with fine linen and purple! I'm kind of on a blazer kick and a pink blazer = the perfect way to brighten up a cold winter day. I paired it with black and white stripes and pale grey chinos, but I think it would pair perfectly with dark skinny jeans and black boots (I've always been a no-jeans-to-church kind of girl :) Also linking up with this lovely blog and at lily among thorns...
Outfit:
Stripes: Forever 21 (see it here)
Grey trousers: J. Crew Factory (old)
Oh my gosh.. once again I LOVE what you got going on here. I have been on the look out for a blazer since so many fabulous ladies are wearing them gorgeously. I'm afraid to buy until I got to a smaller size again, but that pink is so great!! Once again J. Crew.. I need to get on that bandwagon. I agree, it would look great with skinny jeans and boots as well. You look great!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! Blazers are so fun, and the one I'm wearing from J. Crew is on sale for $30! It's a tall size, which I've never gotten before, but I'm 5'7" and it worked fine :)
DeleteYou graw trousers looked blue outdoors! So cool! I love the pink blazer! Visiting from WOFTW. I'm hosting a style link-up today as well if you'd like to join!

ReplyDeleteLove times a million! That blazer w/ the stripes is fab.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I just love pink...and stripes :)
DeleteLove that pop of pink color!!! Love! Love! Love!
ReplyDeleteThank you! A pop of color is so great on a dreary winter day...
DeleteI love it. You look fab!
ReplyDeleteI have been jonesing for a blazer for so long but haven't been able to justify getting on since I can't wear it under my white coat. But after seeing this amazing pink blazer I think I have to break down and buy one. I cannot resist.
Thank you! I agree with you on the white coat thing, blazers are tough to wear underneath...I used to wear open cardis all the time too, but they don't work very well either...
DeleteI love this blazer :) It's only $30 right now at J. Crew in the tall sizes!
I though the trousers were light blue in the outdoor pics. I like the collar popped. Preppy chic.
ReplyDeleteI definitely didn't notice before, but they do look light blue!! It was dusk when Stephen took the pics, so maybe that's why? I'm glad you like the collar popped, Stephen wasn't so sure about it :)
DeleteGreat outfit, Erika! And that pink blazer is just the thing for a dreary winter day.
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
DeleteWhat a cute outfit. The pink blazer is such a nice addition.
ReplyDeleteThat color just pops on you! I love it. I never thought of adding grey trousers to my wardrobe but I may now.
ReplyDeleteIt took me a REALLY long time in life to love pink, but now that I do- I REALLY love it. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe blazer cut and color is amazing. It looks so vibrant in the lighting of your pic in the snow!
ReplyDeleteWow, I would love that blazer in the same bright shade of blue in my closet! I love the muted colors mixed with the big pop of color!
ReplyDeleteYour pink blazer is amazing! Perfect way to brighten up a winter day. Love it with the stripes and the grey!
ReplyDeleteThat's a looooooot of snow!
ReplyDeleteWe have freezing rain here soooo not really complaining too much.
Love the pink blazer. I love everything pink.

I went to med school wanting to be a pediatrician!
And I am still working with kids.
Sarah, thank you! I could actually totally use some peds tips :) And really, med school in general tips (particularly if you have any advice on integrating faith). Are you a pediatrician? How wonderful!
DeleteI think this might be the first pink blazer of WIWS. I love it, especially in your snowy pictures! I really do love the whole outfit.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up :-)
Thanks, Kendra! I don't love how cold the snow is, but it does set off the pink blazer :) I just love linking up on Sundays, so fun and such a great community!
